I spend a pretty shameful amount of time on the Internet. My excuse is that nearly all my work -  researching, transcribing, essaying and writing – entails the use of my beloved laptop, meaning that FireFox is only ever a click away. In reality, I’ve been addicted to the interwebs since I was a lickle yout so obsessed with MyKindaPlace and MSN Messenger that my Mum would literally unplug the computer from the mains to get me off it. Tragic.

It’s not all been a crushingly disappointing waste of my youth, though. In the hours and hours I’ve spent staring at a 13″ screen, I’ve come across some websites that have, in a distinctly non-XTube kinda way, brought genuine pleasure into my life. One of those is TheSelby.Com. Read me briefly rhapsodising about the site over here and hold tight for more posts of a similar ilk on this ‘ere blog.
